25 years of not moving can add up, often worse than 25 years of driving it. A lot of condensation can build up, and not evaporate if the car never gets warm (even by sun light).

Are you planning on a stock restoration, or something else?

Going to keep it stock. I am looking for the correct heads, exhaust manifolds and wheels.

so the truck just had a new custom transmission from NAPC . so he needed to go a different way for the speedo so we got a GPS controlled speedo and the truck had more holes then gauges so we put 260watt speakers in the holes then cut holes in the glove box and mounted 2 more speakers now he has 4 - 5.25 and 2 6x9 and 2 - 10 subs with 600watt amp . not bad fo a young fella.

I just replaced my door speakers with some Kicker coaxial, 100W RMS speakers. I’d really like to get myself one of those JL stealth boxes. But dang, they’re proud of em! I should’ve talked myself out of doing the door speakers. I knew I’d catch the audio system bug. Still have mechanical repairs and improvements that are definitely priority over sound system, though. Maybe I’ll happen across an armored truck that’s wrecked and mysteriously abandoned with the back doors open and still loaded with cash. If so, I’ll have to study up on all the new tech for sound.

Had a really nice system back in about ‘99 in a ‘93 Pontiac Grand Am GT. Had 3 JL Audio 12W6’s, which was their competition sub at the time, in a custom box and a 750W MTX amp pushing them. 2 infinity Kappa 6x9’s in the rear deck with a Soundstream Reference 200 on those. And a set of MB Quart components in the doors with a Soundstream Reference 300 on those. Entered one of those dB drag competitions at the local stereo shop and did well enough to get an invite to a regional meet. Finished 4th in class at the regional. IIRC I hit 134.7 dB. The way they separated classes was by number of subs, though. I was in the 3-4 subs class going up against stuff like Suburbans with 4 18” Cerwin Vega Strokers. Considering what I had to compete against, I was dang proud of that 4th place.

Ugh! That dang sound system bug done got me bad!
