Got my scoop on, will help keep rain and snow out on the carport until next February, then get my 2.5” cowl hood. AAEC128F-5919-4327-93D3-664AC8C4CAB1.jpeg

Thanks, it will look a lot better with the Harwood 2.5” cowl hood. I think I could of bought 2 LS1’s over the years I had this , alot of time and money over almost 27 years.

Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. But those LS1's still need mods and money and your time. Hey a turbo V6 is very bad azz once it's all sorted out. And when you need a new motor you will find plenty for only pocket change. Just this
Thursday I went to Pick a Part for a light socket. First car in the row was a Laguna Monti Carlo with the supercharged V6 just waiting to be picked. And there were too many NA 3.8 GM V6's to count them.

That’s true, if I had a V8 when I was younger , I’d be dead, already got into enough trouble just having the V6. Couple of accidents my fault and a couple not my fault. When I had the supercharger on it and a manual at that time, was tunning one night and got up to 137 mph in 3rd gear. Was about 2am no one on the road , couldn’t imagine if I had a LS1 , wouldn’t of been pretty.lol You ever figure out your intake?

Got the new turbo intake done, hopefully won’t have any problems. F80F2282-A40F-4C0A-A394-FA89E7C5CE0D.jpeg D6A7D903-FC23-4C67-AAAC-812D09E630D7.jpeg

Nothing going with the intake right now. Body work is next - unless my AC gets hot.

Looks like you could box in that filter inlet using the fender skirt and front facia. Then source some ram air behind the headlight or even a dam from below. Take more time than money to do though.

    Have fun.

Got my stock transmission pan back on, must have 3-4”s of more clearance. Don’t have to worry about speed bumps any more. Just need some more tuning and upping the boost and I’ll be done for the year. Getting the hood and either have the car painted or wrapped next year. 2A391DEC-8573-4CF4-A3F4-2E13C62594A8.jpeg 4F8C8F71-6937-4A8C-8703-36996C2F629C.jpeg

I assume you're going to have something there to prevent water splash from the tires getting into the intake?

No, don’t drive it in the rain or snow, it’s not a DD just take it out for fun, since I took the A/C out won’t drive it too much this summer.

Ordered my 2.5” Hardwood cowl hood from Jegs for $870 shipped. Won’t ship until 8-1.

Here’s what the hood looks like, should clear the turbo. 83A78E2B-8AB6-4223-B4BB-A5326B09AB31.jpeg

Putting my 17x11 rims back on the rear with 315/35/17 Toyo tires, just ordered the tires $319 shipped, not bad. My old ones are 12 years old cracked and dry rotted. Will post pics when I get them on.

Getting the hood tomorrow, probably install it Saturday with a neighbors help.

Not getting the 315 tires , waited a month and the company couldn’t tell me when their shipping, so just canceled the order. Just working on painting my spoiler and front bumper.

Spoiler don’t like the way it came out so probably redo it. Starting the bumper tomorrow. Doing it in the drive way so wind is screwing me up. I’ll see how the bumper comes out.
