I have the stock bose system in my car and i was wondering what other special pecies i needed besides a high-low converter to just run an amp and subs off the stock wires? some told me that Scosch has an adapter that plugs into the bose head unit and then you can run your own wires back and plug the old wiring into the scosch adapter and everything will be peachy?

 

Depending on the amp... you can actually tune it to "focus" on only the bass frequencies and run the signal wiring off of the rear speakers. Then make sure you wire in a control knob so you can turn up the bass from the amp. If you need help with all of that... The guys over at Crutchfield are freaking awesome.
