I have a 69 Z that I’ve owned since 1975 and I think my power steering box is leaking. The car has approx 67,500 miles on it. My question, would that be enough mileage for the steering box to be “sloppy”? I’ve been noticing some play in it for a while now. Next question, is there a better ratio for these cars? The power steering in this car is very touchy at high speeds, just wondering if a different ratio or upgrade would be a better fit for the car. I am planning on having it rebuilt just to keep the original box with the car unless somebody can convince me of a better option. Also, can someone tell me which box was used in the Z cars? Thanks for any help…..
