Well I am getting ready to take the car to the beach for muscle car week. I have been working on some appearance mods for a while now on the list is painting the engine bay, under the hood, and my hood 'scoops' flat black. I also did the !wire mod and filled in the holes. The project is far from complete as I just ran out of paint! So the driver side of the engine is not done! This is progress so far...

Looks really good. I like how much it cleans up the engine bay! Make sure you put a clear over it to protect and make it last longer... What did you use to fill the holes?

I filled the holes with 'quik-steel' it is a putty that dries solid and can be drilled, sanded, and machined. I put tht on both sides of the hole and sanded it flat, then painted it over. I hope it holds.

I think i'd really like to do that, but i want it to be glossy. Do they have a glossy version? Not now, maybe a year or 2 away when i can make my car more show worthy.

Someone needs to explain to me the delete wire mod and tell me how to do it!

alright what you do is grab a scissors, blowtorch, and tin garbage can, grab a chunk or wires and carefully snip them all off one by one, then find where the wire goes end and snip in there to, put all the wires in the can and burn them with the blowtorch. and your done!

    !wires complete
User Notes: your car will not run after this, but the engine bay will look clean

    **************** matt... thats freakin NICE...

youre actually makin me think about doin it this summer :)

i think you should get a white top, that would really set your car off

the way i heard people doing the !wire mod is you just run the wires under the fender and wrape them in tape around any connectors, and then fill the hole and sand it and paint it... i guess our inner fenders are enough protection, that and wrapping the connectors in electrical tape...
