Are you decided on a color, or are you looking for someone to perform an amazing paint job? If it's the color you are looking for, go to your nearest paint jobber and ask to see the color charts. Take your time and go through all the different makes models and years of the vehicles. Most paint jobbers also carry a color chart for House of Kolor, check that out too as they have some trick Kandy colors as well. If you are looking for someone to "Do the job" I highly reccomend "American Muscle Cars" in San Diego California. Sal Perez is the owner, and you can see his work in pretty much any Super Chevy or Hot Rod Magazine, his facility is the best and whats more, he is a Camaro specialist. Take a look at John Hotchkis's '71 Camaro Z28 at Hotchkis.com. Sal painted his car!

one other thing, when you look at the cars driver side rear quarter panel you can see about three or four little bumps it looks like its been hammered out or sumthin but it feels smooth, what can i do about that. oh yeah jus so yall know im thinking about goin with the kandy apple red. i have an uncle who will do it and hes pretty good no sal perez but he will do for the price.

Block sand and guide coat. If it's a low spot you can lightly hammer and dolly it out and if it's not that big, use a little glazing putty, then back to block sanding. Note: the quarters and the hood are the only metal pieces on the car, unless you have an SS, then you only have metal quarter panels. Hope this helps.

Do they have to take the engine out and all that stuff when you get a car repainted?

If you are doing a color change and want the car to look like it was born with your new color, than yes, the engine electrical and everything must be gutted. If you are staying with similar color, like say, silver, but with pearl, then you can get away with leaving the engine compartment etc.
