What would I need to upgrade to up a turbo on my 86 iroc. It has a 305. I'm looking at headers and a chip also gonna remove the cat. Any other power ideas on power options?

What are your goals for the car? Street/Strip or? Auto or stick car?

Unless you're going for a lot of boost you probably won't need headers plus if you get them you'll need to insulate them good to keep the heat in them for the turbo. You can flip the manifolds on the SBC and connect good exhaust piping to them to run to the turbo. How much boost do you have in mind, and is this for the street or the track? Your turbo selection will depend on that.

 

it's never that easy... you will find that the smog pump and alternator get in the way.... also a/c.
