What are you supposed to use around the mounting studs of an RS spoiler to prevent water from getting in? Would simple silicone suffice?

 

It would work just fine. I use a industrial caulk i get at work.

 

You can use actual seam sealer too. I used to get it at NAPA.

 

Bingo, bingo, aaaaaand bingo.

 

Toilet seals work awesome. There are actually neoprene seals you can buy, which are cheap, if not, you can use some dumb-dumb, (funny, I know, but that is what it is called, and it is basically body caulking.)
