I was running around looking for trouble through Hot August Nights,/ Hunting.
My 97 Z28 was looking for adventure and picked on two mustangs light to light, and smoked them.
I raced a older barracuda a square body dont know what year Sounded tough.
But cleaned his clock on the main drag.
But there were 2 cars I didnt think my ZREX would take.
I had just got off work on friday night and was getting on the freeway on a loop and there was a bright yellow Corvette in my rear view and after the loop in the strait I pulled to the left and stopped .
The newer Corvette pulled up and stopped beside me grinning,With the same intensions I did.
I grinned back and gave a finger count to three engines were reved tires were squeeling like banchies .
My Camaro Just flat out left him in the dust through all the gears .
He had to be 10 car lenths behind me almost a half mile later, when I slowed down for the car in front of me and the vette was in the lane behind me .
Went to go around him and the vette almost hit me .
He was still going all out LOL.
I followed him off the freeway , got beside him and asked what year was his Vette.
He said 2014.
He pointed his finger at me and called me a Cheetah LOL
We both laughed and I drove on, Knowing the original name of the Camaro
Was the Cheetah .
I think it was more fitting.
Before GM Changed the name to Camaro Cam And airodynamics ,
But like Camaro too.
I was suprized to find out the Corvette was sporting a 6.2 liter LT1.

Thought I was having a good day , And wanted to have a road race.
So I jumped back on the freeway went to other side of town
and turned around and was coming into a cluster of cars, And in
back of them was a carbon fiber race car with fancy tail lights .
As I caught up to him he gunned it ,Nascared two vehicals and went into the
off ramp lane to pass them .
As he hit it and passed the first car.
I punched it right up the middle ,and nascared 8 cars looking at each other
as I passed through .
We got to the other side of traffic side by side.
We both grabbed 4th and squeeled the
tires.
We both ran through the gear and stayed side by side not giving an inch on either side.
I was just about to grab 5th gear and he gave me a dirty look and jumped on his brakes .
and slowed down to 40 miles an hour.
It was a tie and he forfitted Lol.
I call it a win Though I dont know how.
I dont know what year it was?
But it was way newer than my car.
I could not beleive it,
My 1997 Camaro Z28 had toe to toed it with a Lamborghini !
And I WON ! LOL

 

Something I think that people dont get is you have to be ready for the race.
The car has to be ready too.
And driver skills and car builds are 50 percent of the race .
Manual and automatics have different strengths .
A turbo will try to get you in its powerband.
A built engine will lose to the turbo if you play his game.
But if the built engine makes him race him off the line and bangs through the gears quicker than lightning.
by the time the turbo gets going in first hes shifting into 4th .
and redline isnt usualy your best et.
To much tire burning.
And if youve run out of gear and your side by side , It doesnt matter if you have 10000 horse power
your out of gear! LOL
Shift ! before he does .
The Lambo should have been banging that paddle shifter as fast as he could.
standing on it.
The 2014 Corvette was like a gun fight .
He had a big 44 mag and I had a little 32 caliber.
And mine drew faster feathering the clutch a little at high rpm and fanned 4 of 6 before he could clear his holster .LOL
Or before he could Hook
My Little Z28 and 350 LT1 and 6 speed Hooker competition exaust are a Chevrolet transmission Am spec race car !
And I am a Jetti who knows how to get all 201 horse power to the ground and
out drive you with ultimate predgudice . HA HA HA
The Chevy Camaro Z28 was a purpose built racecar .
0-100 strait line racing, and road racing.
And I am not a puppet to the cpu.
