This is a video of one of the test dyno runs for my 1995 Z28. Here the exhaust cutout is closed so it's reasonably quiet. I wish I'd have thought to get a video of the run with the exhaust open. It was great!



With open exhaust cutout the best run produced 417 RWHP and 425 torque.

My dyno numbers were not that strong. 2002 zl-1 # 42 429.09 wrhp and 391.49 torque. Ran out of fuel @ 6100 rpms. GMMG LS-6 TEA phase 2 heads, long tube, cats, GMMG exhaust. Dyno'ed a few months ago. Stock injectors 28lb were the limiting factor, advised to leave it alone. It was built that way in 2003. #ad

 

What kind of compression are you at to get those #'s. 11.5:1?

 

I don't really know. My machinist thinks something like that.

 

I do suspect the fuel pump. I have the 30lb injectors. Since I don't regularly race or take the car to redline, I don't expect to bother replacing the pump or seeing what else could be limiting at the top end. My plan, now that she's running well, is to enjoy my car.

On the compression, when I did a compression test I got 200psi +/- 5 psi on all cylinders. My machinist did some quick math in his head and said he thought I must be in the 11s for a compression ratio.

I like checking everything on every motor for exact compression, cc the valve reliefs, deck height, gasket thickness, cc the combustion chamber, bore & stroke. checking cylinder compression factors in intake valve closing and gives you an idea of dynamic compression.
