What are the differences in these years? I see a lot of people asking about that...

And this might get this topic moving before it gets deleted....

A little known fact was the 97 LT-4 made realistically 360+ Hp, they had to underrate for insurance purposes, and it only came in a Hard Top due to the torque output.

I know that 93-93 didn't have traction control. 95 had it as an option and I think 96-on had it either as an option or it came standard ( I can't remember which).

  15. screaminchev93

93 Z's had non vented opti-spark...where as in 95 they changed to vented-opti spark.
93 yellow accents in the car...94 and up i think...white accents in the car...
    93 speed density...94 and up...MAS air
93...sequential fuel injection...94 and up had multi-port fuel injection
    93 had 700R4/or 4L60(the same i believe) and...94 and up had 4L60E
    93 had 19lbs injectors...and 94 and up had 24 lbs injectors...
93 t56 transmission cars car were not rated for as much torque as the 94 and up t56 cars
93 could have a chip put in... 94 and up a programmer is used
    93-95 OBD1
    96-97 OBD2 i think
umm i know im forgetting something else tooo.........

In response to tiger28. The 94 had ASR as an option, not sure about the 93 though.

And for screaminchev93, 1995 was a bridge year for the OBD1 to OBD2. Some cars came with later and others with the former.

There's a huge list of differences for the 93 as compared to the '94 and later. This list is copied from a post by "chevroletfreak"'s boards, but it was a group effort by alot of folks over there:
