Chipping a 94 z28 LT1

    I'm not sure on what kind of chip to get. My z has the obd port 1, and there is a ton of chips to choose from. I plan on putting mine on the line, so I definitely want the right one. Anyone got any advise? I would appreciate it!!!!

    you don't really get a new chip. you mean get your computer reprogrammed. PCM4less did mine. it is mail order but pretty good. it is hard to find people these days that tinker with older ones like ours

    I love the older models. I hit a deer back in January so I'm having the whole car painted and juiced up. Thanks a bunch for the help on the computer reprograming

    I still have my 1994 after 19 years, it is never going anywhere

    As stated, you can't "chip" these cars. These computers (1994+) are connected to a computer using something like C.A.T.S. to go in and actually reprogram the computer.

    Sorry to hear about the deer. I have been there, thankfully not in my camaro. I have come close, but was able to avoid them. I did hit one with a brand new car once though. 43 miles on it! Yea, that sucked.
