    What would be really cool is if they made a chart showing power to weight ratio. It would give us a better idea of how fast each year was.

    The chart showing the 67-70 as so much more powerful aren't accurate. They show SAE gross HP. Manufacturers switch to SAE net HP in 71, which shows lower numbers. The drop from 74 to 75 is accurate though.

    So true. That chart doesn't tell the whole story. Yes they have gotten more power but they are also about 1000 lbs heavier now than in the 60s and 70s.

    good point on the gross versus net power, anyone know a good conversion?
