Howdy all. I just registered for the tour and plan to be a long hauler. It starts in Madison, WI, and ends in Baton Rouge, LA. It'll be roughly 3,000 miles round trip for me.

I'll be taking my Z28 and going it alone. If any of you have signed up and/or plan to make any of the stops it would be fun to get together.

Now the fun part of figuring out where I'm going to stay every night...

 

Sounds good. Back in 98 & 99 I did these and it's a couple of hundred miles a day, give or take. One of their stops is in Birmingham at Hoover Metro Stadium but they haven't published the route yet. In 99 one of the stops was St Louis and that was the largest show of all the stops, if I remember right.

I could easily do that route on my BMW motorcycle, it's a sport touring setup with cruise control and gets a little over 40mpg. Only thing it doesn't have is air conditioning. I did 1,019 miles in 19 hours on it including stops for lunch and dinner.

 

I hope you made the tour. A friend of mine is a Former Long Hauler and looks like his is making it through again. On his way to Gulf Port today.

Yup, did the long haul. In Baton Rouge today. Gulfport was the best location.

BTW mine is #283 in the lineup.
