It’s been a long time coming. Finally got the kit on today. One problem, the hood is hitting the compressor housing so it won’t close. Need about 2”s. Taking off the SS hood and going with a stock one and if it still doesn’t fit , will make a cutout for it in the hood. Congratulations, that's a massive project you completed there. Car is gonna try to fly now.
My opinion is a small scoop in the hood for cold air makes the most sense since you need clearance anyways.
Any pics of the plumbing? I'd like to see the exhaust and inter-cooler if you're using one.
    Happy New Year.

Thanks, I installed the intercooler last year and most of the pipping when I installed the new front bumper. The stock hood looks like it has more clearance, so picking one up in about a week. Don’t want to mess with the SS hood, I’ll sell it. Right now I have a 3” open down pipe, when I get the hood situated, I’ll tune it and have the down pipe routed where the A/C was to my 3” exhaust. I’ll take pics, going to post a video of it running soon.

Here’s one pic I found. I did remove the bumper support though. 64A5D4F1-66BD-4119-B6DD-086E4550FEC8.jpeg

Wow! That's a huge intercooler. Gonn'a make a big difference with that one. I see soo many hack jobs on intercoolers it turned me off. You mentioned a kit for the turbo. Did the intercooler come with the kit? Was it a fourth gen specific kit for the camaro?

I’m in AZ, so pretty hot in the summer. That’s why I got a Garrett turbo too, it’s water cooled. The hot side is on eBay. Then you need the cold side, got the intercooler and pipping from eBay too. Just need a down pipe and TR6 spark plugs and a oil pressure feed line 4an and return 10an. Also Hptuners and wideband O2 plus alot of tunning.

Got the stock hood, the Camaro was black so it will match my Camaro. Some scratches but no dents. Getting the whole car painted soon so doesn’t matter. Will swap them out soon.

Well got the stock hood on, not any better, my neighbor down the street said he could cut it out, so it’s going to be a couple of weeks until he gets time. No response from the eBay company that sells the kit.

Got the heat shield on the turbo and air screen on the turbo. Hopefully get the hood cut this week. Then get the down pipe routed to the exhaust and new tires on. Might have found a hood to fit but will see.

Got the hood cut today, there’s a hood on eBay that will fit, have to use hood pins though. I’m going to clean up my hood alittle bit , looks like rain here today so have to wait. Probably start tuning it this week. D86C7097-ED1E-4BC5-8F16-7F3F229E005F.jpeg

Got my amps moved and battery box mounted in the hatch, waiting on parts to move the battery. Have my 1 quart resivor and 4” tubing and air filter to go down in the wheel well. Still can’t tune the car yet, maybe tore my ACL in my left knee so it’s hurting pretty bad. See the orthopedic doctor Wednesday and getting a MRI. Had some problems, starting, found my starter wire was filled with corrosion, installed a 1 ga. wire, new battery and starter. Starts perfect and my cold start is gone. I think my battery was going out. Got my STB on. Next project is moving the battery to the rear. FCD98A0E-F583-40F9-B5E0-CDBC6629CE53.jpeg

Got new tires installed, got the 3” down pipe routed to the exhaust, pretty quiet now except if I open the cutout.

Got the battery moved to the hatch and air filter and coolant res. mounted. Need to do the wires in the hatch but turned out pretty good, starts perfect. 15B2EE3C-55C0-4EF7-AA0F-D5410CE4F3E1.jpeg 298AB044-71BC-488A-84A9-F3D29C8CC955.jpeg 65DFBC0B-F721-4327-A93A-6B2081EFA054.jpeg

Really cool watching this come together. It'll probably fool a lot of people, heh heh.

Lol, thanks, once the turbo spools though, they’ll know something’s up.lol

Have to redo the intake side of the turbo, on Facebook some one pointed out the flexible tubing might collapse at higher boost. Emailed the company and they said probably not, well I’m not going to risk my turbo and engine to probably not. Lol So ordered 4” pipping and silicone connectors.
