Hello everyone! I have a question regarding my 1980 rally sport tachometer. When I start my car, the tach. needle sets to zero so it seems like it's getting power; also I know the oil gauge works but other than that the tach needle won't move at all when I am driving my car. As of yet II have been unable to find out much about the wiring of the tachometer. I am also currently working on removing the gauge cluster to check for bad connections but I haven't been able to find any yet. I appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you.

All right, I checked the distributor connections and everything seems to be in order but my tach still won't respond.

Does it still have a tach filter?
I had to put one in my 80 z28 to get the tach working.

Yeah, I still have one. All the connections seem good too.
