Is this true on the hp? If so that is great for now. Should I turbo or run a blower, or charger on it? Thanks

The 350 is 255HP, the 396 is 240HP. Turbo would be the best bang for the buck but you might need to fab up some of the piping yourself - I'm not sure on the complete kit options for it.

I ran the crank number and it said 300 hp.

Turbo or blower would be a great option, you would just need to know your compression ratio in order to decide how much boost you would want to run. A lot goes into the tuning on a vehicle when it comes to both of those power adders so if you plan to do it just do your homework on what all is needed to operate safely.

Some time its more some times its less . Because they would have a lower rating for insurance purposes "back in the day'.
