1968 Camaro Z28

    Hello all,
    I have a numbers matching 1968 Camaro Z28 with what I thought were factory 4.10 gears. Someone told me recently that 4.10 gears were not available on the '68 Z28. My rear axle stamp is BV0617G1E and the casting number is 3894860. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks. John

    I got my answer from Jerry MacNeish who said 4.10 gears were an option for the ‘68 Z so it appears the rear end is original to the car.
