I need to replace my rear shocks and springs. I loosened (but not removed) the lower bolts and brake line bolt so that part would be ready. But I can't get the upper shock bolts loose. 1984 Camaro with aftermarket convertible, and the frame for the top is making access difficult. I can't get a small wrench on the top and have room to get a larger wrench on the bottom, so I tried to put vice grips on the top but it is still spinning. I ran out of PB Blaster so I put WD40 on 1hr before starting. Any suggestions?

vice grips on the shaft under the car, and a deep well socket with extension on the top. If you have a 3/8 impact, it should make short work of those.

I got them off using the impact gun. Once they were off this job was quite easy! Gonna hit the front ones this weekend. Hope it is just as easy
