Turn signals not quite right

I replaced all the exterior bulbs on the car today. Prior to the work, the left side had all bulbs working, and the left turn signal and hazard lights worked normally, on the left side. None of the right side bulbs worked, and as I replaced all but the right front marker light, the left side still worked, but the right side just stayed solid. When I replaced the last bulb (right front marker) both left and right sides stayed solid with turn signals. What gives?

This sounds like a grounding issue. If there is no ground, it will find another path to ground which results in a constant draw/drain that lights the bulbs. Locate and clean all grounds for the wiring harness and it should start working again.

Turns out it was the flasher relay under the dash. New one in and they all work great!

Interesting. Never heard of that relay causing a non function issue. Thanks for sharing!

I was prepped to start taking out each bulb, cleaning out the old crusted grease, and putting new grease in, if that didn't work. So glad I didn't have to go that route! I hope this fixes it for a while, as I would bet chasing a ground can be a headache
