i had transmission in 93 camaro rebuilt and i reinstalled and while lifting transmission on jack torque converter fell off shaft and was loose or not seated fron transmission shop even though it had holddowns i guess, i lowered transmission and put it back while rotating and got one big click and even spinning it no more clicks my question is it seated, now with transmission up and getting ready to put flexplate bolts i have maybe 1/4 inch clearance ,im thinking if it wasnt seated i wouldnt have clearance and it would bind, should I be ok ,i remember reading there is three clicks at on time

two clicks 1/4 is not great but not bad it needs a little play so you should be fine you ill kno right away when you try it

I know this thread is a month old, however I wanted to advise. There are 3 engagements on a TC. The input shaft, the pump gear (stationary) and the pump itself (2 keys). 1/4" is a little much and most transmission shops will suggest spacers to get it to 1/16th inch to 1/8th inch. any more than that, and those two keys will only be partially on the pump and can cause premature failure.
