Ok i was out looking in my near empty engine bay - prepping to replace cam and complete top end. biggest concern i have is programming the PCM, ive never done it and its the part of this project that - to be honest - spooks me a bit.
I was looking at deleting the AC and came across a black box wedged in between the AC ducting and the PCM. Its a jet power control module something or other. Im not familiar with these - i know they are some sort of magic voodoo that was supposed to net you 20+ horse power and such.
My issue is A) does this thing need to go - so i can program the PCM for the cam and le2 heads for the car B) leave it alone it wont do anything?
When i bought the car i never knew it was there. had the car a year now.
Will this thing complicate matters any further or should i just pull it and lose it?

Remove it if you're getting the car tuned. Yes, it will interfere.

As Ken posted, you won't need the programmer since you are tuning the car. Don't let the tuning scare you as it's not that difficult to do. I am sure there are multiple LE tunes on the net that you could download and install on your pcm. The biggest issues for the LT pcm is toake sure nothing interferes while uploading the new tune. You will basically be messing with the fuel and spark tables but again I am sure there is a proven tune that you can get from someone.

I managed to get ahold of Moe Bailey last night and provided my specs to him and he has a dyno tested tune for my sete up - im using a cookie cutter build that makes 400~ horse.
Are these jets worth anything now?

Not near as much as they were when they came out but I'm sure you can get a few bucks out of it from someone who doesn't want to pay for a tune for the simple things like air intake and headers.
