A few weeks ago I had a couple rockers let loose. Bent one push rod. Pulled the heads and made sure they were ok. Put new springs and ls7 lifters in it hardened pushrods. My question is. Since I have to put new rockers on it can I go with the 1.6 without petting the pcm tuned because for the lift of me I cannot find a place that can tune the OBD1 computer.

You won't have to get the pcm tuned for the 1.6 rockers.

 

lift shouldn't affect tune at all, how did you bend push rods? too tight or coil bind?

 

I'm not sure. Car was running great got in it kinda hard when I let out they gave. I think the poly locks backed off on me. I went to zero lash. Had the intake off so I could see pretty well. Half turn after zero. Let her run probably a couple hours sounded great till I tried to show off. Lol

Oh shouldn't have had any coil bind. It still has the stock springs in it when that happened. I honestly think my poly locks backed off .. I'm not to familiar with them.

Well I got her back together. Put about 100 miles on it yesterday. Couple 1/8 mile passes in there too. Speedo said 95 mph but it's at least 7 mph off do to the 341 gear in it. I'm pleased.

Sorry I didn't get back with ya. Sooner. She's running a consistent 8.78 in the 1/8. Never lost a race first day at the track. Made it to the semi finals today and jump the light. 193/194 60 ft. Gonna put some new tires on next week. Should bring that down a little.
