Hello everyone. Im new to this forum and trying to help another enthusiast who is restoring a 1968 SS convertible with factory console. The car was pretty much gutted with a lot of pieces missing, including most of the interior wiring. I have an unmolested dash harness from a 1968 Camaro but dont know what model its out of. Are there different harnesses for base models and SS or Z28 cars with console gauges? Id like to help the guy out with this harness but not sure it will work for his application.

i would say back then i think they would have had pretty much the same harness only thing i could think thats different is the size of engine and rear end

The dash harnesses are different. They are specific for a 6 cyl and 8 cyl cars as well as a console, gauge pack, and column shift. I don't think there is a difference for Rally Sport, because your headlights are vacuum operated, but the harness is different for a 67 RS non RS car.

Thank you, that is the info I wanted to know. Can anyone here ID the harness if I would post a few pictures of it?

That is a tough one. I am hoping that your harness was new, or newer, in which case you may still have a tag or some identifier with a part number that you can pop into google, which might tell you where it came from and what it is for exactly.

Lay the harness on the ground and confirm u have a plug for all your options.
