Truth if car is what it says (z/28)

    How can you tell if camaro is a true z/28 door tag says on bottom z/28 but my car has badges of slp

    Post up pictures of your door tags, assume it has 1 possibly 2 depending on the number of options/packages installed.
    This can also help breakdown the number of Camaros built like yours.

    Also if it has legit SLP door sticker(s), If it shows WU8 as one of the codes then its an SS Optioned Z/28, does it have the fiberglass hood with scoop, and rear spoiler that is unique to SS Camaros, also should have 17" rims, assuming there stock and still on there.

    If its an SS, then it was "built" by SLP, you can contact them to verify, attached a copy of my cars document.
    I added a spreadsheet which will help you decode 98s, and let you know how many like your were built. Internet has other year info...

    It had chrome wheels exhaust runs muffler straight down middle it had rear spoiler n tee tops

    I see ls1 engine , posi rear gu2 gear (i think 3.23) and an auto transmission.

    Dont think its an ss... i didnt see z28 either which is weird....

    Thank you brother I’ve been racking my brain on this . But I love the car it’s a true monster plus something to leave in the family when I’m gone . May turn it to a sleeper

    When they built them here.... slp was just down the road in Quebec. So for an ss car thats what happened. Did such a good job .... we built the new ones too ....for a time.... then i think they went back to van nyes california...how ever you spell it.... wish mine wasnt built there..... they screwed up painting

    The Z28 code is there. Bottom left before the number RPO codes.

    I'm not trying to be a butt, I promise lol. But it is in the RPO codes. It does look like it has been scratched so it is missing part of the "Z" number.

    Thank you brother i was also looking at that . Even contacted ins company and the told me it is a z/28 SS I appreciate it good looking out . I’m new to this with forums . I just retired an glad I found something to keep busy.

    Is it possible to put a 4 row radiator in a 2000 z/28

    GU2 is 2.73 gears. All A4 SSs' came with 3.23s'.

    Looked like a 728 to me lol.... thats why.... getting sick of needing glasses..... when you circled it ....it forced me to reallly look at it lol

    Since you quoted my post....

    I cant honestly say if you can sorey. I would do some searches on summit or jegs.... see what ypur option are.
