    i want to put some 225/45/18 tires on my 94 Z28
    LT1 convertible
    Will I have any clearance problems?

    Yea, the 225's are stock for the V6 model. 255's are stock on the Z28's and you can fit 275's (which I'm running) without any mods as long as your backspacing is right.

    225's will look like the tread is sunk in. Not a good look IMO.

    I have a good set of 235/60/18 tires
    Am I going to have clearance problems

    Take a look at TireRack.com, and other sites that provide a tire diameter - width - tread width - rolling diameter. As long as you're within a 1/2" (.500) of the largest factory installed tire size you shouldn't have much trouble at all.
    Others on here can likely be more specific, as in; need to roll the inner fender lip on the rears if your tires are wider than ##…

    I guess I was wrong. 245's seem to be the stock size with 255's being an alternate.

    And to the OP, I'm running 275/35/18's on my car. They fit fine. If you are going to put 225's on there, you are going to have one heck of a time stretching that sidewall out that far and you will destroy your wheels on curbs. The tires will not stick out enough to protect them.
