I havent been on for a few years. This site was always jumping. Did I just log in at an odd time or what?

 

It's not dying, it's just increasingly inactive.

 

Funny this thread would pop up. I have been inactive for a few years as well. Darn adult life...

I think this site has hit a point where it needs to try to stand out a bit further than the other 'lesser' sites. Like merchandise, promos, bring back COTM and update the home page as often as possible. Without turning the site into the others, which allow cussing, racism, nudity, etc. This one has an uphill battle the whole way. BUT it does have extremely knowledgeable MODS and Members, along with a ton of usefull info!

Welcome back to you guys who have been out of the site for a while!!

 

I agree mason. I think maybe go through the moderators and possibly change them out to users who are still actively using the site. This site has always been the friendliest forum and has always made me feel like family.. It is sad is has died off...

I say we stand together, spread the word and try to bring it back to what it used to be! Who is with me?

not to mention my time has been divided as well...When I originally started the site, it was/is a hobby that I enjoy. Therefore even thou it means alot to me sometimes it gets bumped on the priority list. Also I dont put the energy it often needs cause I do this more of a hobby than a job. I know it hurts the site but I just want to enjoy the hobby vrs have it feel like work. When I say hobby, I am talking about the Camaro of course not particularly the website.

I do miss when this place was thriving but its hard to maintain that level of energy on my end without being on the computer 8-10 hrs a day.

 

I'm still around when I can be. I do miss the thriving times but they'll come back around.

*edit* I forgot I changed my sig., kinda funny that it doesn't have a Camaro in it. Still have it though.

I am here although I rarely log on. Partly because I am busy and the other part is cause I have hooked up with old school friends on Facebook. Jim is on all the time, but I am not sure he does a lot of posting.

 

I understand the Logo and TM being tough to deal with. And by absolutly no means was I meaning anything negative about the site at all.

I love this site. Its useful and funny and at times touching. But I think as members we can do a little more to be on here often and add useful comments. And donate if possible. You get a sticker after all!!!

As for the mods, I respect your time put into the site. I know getting online daily is a chore for most people. And being able to run the site and update it often must also be time consuming. So once again, thank you Z28.com community!! You All Are great!

 

I agree and this is what I was getting at in my post. If everyone slowly starts posting, even if something as simple as a thread about vacations... than eventually interest will grow and more people will have more topics to post on. This would eventually and slowly bring the site back. Just look how much more active it has been the past few days...

BTW... sticker, what sticker,.. I never got a sticker?!?!

 

I am here looking around and not posting up. I have been working 7 days a week. When i start getting paid, maybe in a year, I will put more money into the z. And then ill post up alot. Everyhing in life has flattened out. Its soon to change though.

 

Well let me say this. I will always LOVE this site til the day I die. And the friends and family I truly have here will make TEARS come out of your eyes. It's so many Folks on here I just cant thank enough. It's been some good times and really never any bad times. The friends that I have here are second to none.

When Trooper was sick in the hospital Z28.COM was right there. Z28.COM sent Trooper 52 Camaro's and he has all of them. FAMILY is what im talking about. And if you never went to a show, GO GO GO GO GOT DOGGIT GO. When My son Michael was ran off the road. Z28.COM was right there.

When I just needed some help with my family. Z28.COM was right there. I drove to the show with my family and my car was in the shop and still went. We here are a BIG Family and we all know we need to take care of our personal family's first. So life will get to you and sometimes you just dont have time to get on here. The site is still the best DANG site out here. Our personal lives just are 1st priority that's all.

 

I completely understand where you are coming from MasterZ, I was just shocked to see it so quiet. I have re-enegized my camaro build so I should be on here more often.

 

MasterZ ... The site is slow. But it's still popular I have seen more people viewing on her just like the others popular lt1 sites. Just nobody posts. Lol One problem me and a few have stated is. some one really needs to fix the search on google or yahoo issue. I know that has to be hurting .

I'm doing my part but I don't answer much because I only know things off of what I read . No real experiences . And I don't like to post because of that. Now that will soon change since I have a really nice project ( shooting for 9s) and will soon be adding more then enough photos , part numbers, weight numbers . Etc etc. People always love build threads. One thing i love about this site is if you ever have a different idea, you will have someone try to correct you. But never insult you because Of it. I know this for a fact. Lol . the moderators ( or atleast it seems) don't allow it . Please make sure you keep It this way. Other sites have waaaay to many nuthuggers that are quick to trash you if you don't follow the crowd.

I more then agree. Wouldn't be bad idea to add some changes or promo. The other 2 top lt1 sites have huge help by some big names in racing and shootouts. This site does not have that. That attracts a large amount of viewers. I know it's hard since we can't use z28.com because of gm ownership to the name z28. But there's some really talented artist here who can maybe make up a logo or symbol and little by little people will know its z28.com. Just an idea. A way Around the copyright problem.

 

I like that idea Greg. Actually maybe just have an on site entry. And then we can all vote on the symbol or slogan or whatever is created. And the winner could get their pic on the forum home page or a swag bag or something! This could be really really fun!
