Anyone know where we can get chrome/polished nuts, bolts, and fasteners for the engine compartment? Specifically looking for items for 98 Chevy truck and 98 Camaro. Any direction will be helpful. Thanks. :)

They are all over Ebay. You can even get the ones that has the bowties on the heads.

    Jim,

If you're talking about the bolts for the engine, then I'd just go with FantaZ's suggestion and surf Ebay. BUT, if you're talking about replacing all the other bolts in the engine bay like the ones for the shock towers, radiator and bumper supports, brake components, etc., then I'd call this place:

    www.hillcofasteners.com

A guy did sort've a tagteam effort with them and they designed a kit specifically for 98-02 f-bodies.

Rob, thanks! I saw the guy on Tech's engine and fell in love, but could not remember where he got his stuff. Hilco is the right place. I knew someone on here would know it.

BTW, the other suggestions above have lots of good stuff too. :)

Hilco has good stuff but it's very expensive $175+. If you don't mind not having a bowtie symbol or something on them, just get the stainless bolts you need at a local bolt supply shop. Sand the casting marks off the tops and polish them yourself. That's what I did, turned out great and only cost $30 :)

Sounds like a good idea. Did you use a belt sander and a grinder? I don't have either right now. :(

I used a bench grinder and my little Black&Decker hand sander :) Then polished them on a buffing wheel

Listen to "toofazt", his car looks great. The polished bolts finish off the engine bay nicely.

I polished mine myself using a dremel and polishing kits. Got alot of comments about them so far.
