Turned out pretty good for my first in-depth detailing. Usually I just wash and then wax. But on the STS, I used clay bar for the first time. And now I am hooked. What a difference. Dont use ICE Liquid Clay Bar, I wasted $17.00 on that junk. And the $17.00 I wasted on the ICE polish sucked as well. This time I bought Mequire's Claybar kit at Wal-Mart for $15.00 and I got some 3M Swirl Mark and Scratch Remover $7 at wal mart (which is the bomb diggity,) and some Meguire's Gold Class Paste Wax. I did the entire car in clay bar, went through a whole bottle of the supplied Detail Spray, wiped it down, applied the 3M swirl mark rremover on the entire car. Wiped it down, Then waxed it. Washed it, and dried it. I do have some blemishes in the paint, expected with a 10 year old car. But it got rid of the majority of scatches, all the swirls and looks 100% better. Watcha think? I know its not an F body, lol. 300 hp and I average 18.6 MPG's in town and 23.4 highway.

Looks good man I like the Cadillac's always thought they have a nice classy look to them. A friend of mine has a black CTS but it just a 6cyl but a 5spd so it makes it fun to drive

    looks pretty good!

if you ever want to really step it up:
-sand/polish the headlights back to new
-detail wheel wells and the wheels
    -buff paint

Yes, next step is the headlights. I need to figure out the proper way without messing them up. They arent cheap to replace. $250 (each) used on ebay. :dizzy: THe problem with the wheel wells is that I live on a dirt road, so as soon as my tire starts turning it kicks up the dirt instantly. :wah: The wheels have sp,e stains on them that I cant sem to get off. Atleast I havent found anything that will. I tried chrome polish and some wheel spray, didnt really work. And again, living on a dirt road, its hard to keep them clean. And I just buffed my paint by hand when I waxed it. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks. Lol. F Body's are cool too. I had a 94 Z last year.
